As a father I want my daughter to grow up playing games outside and inside. I want the inside games to not be all on a computer screen. I regularly have friends over where we drink a little bit and play some games.
Growing up I got into the geek games in Jr. High playing the original Star Wars: TCG a lunch time. I then also played Pokemon, Star Trek, and the ever popular resurgence of Pogs. By high school I was too busy with sports and got into computer games. After college a good friend introduced me to D&D 4e and we met on a fairly regular basis and it eventually evolved into the games being held in my basement around my pool table which I adapted to be able to gather around and play card/board games. I continued D&D and eventually started playing other Table Top games like the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG and even dabbled a little in Warhammer 40k. That got too expensive and is hard to play casually. Now I have friends over on a monthly basis or so and we play various games which will be reviewed here.
I know there are more in depth sites out there for this type of thing so I am doing this for fun. I aim to bring in the moderate view point of game playing as a father and friend. I am the kind of person that would rather go backpacking for a week in the mountains, climb a 14er, or go get a Helton Burger and Blue Moon at Coor's Field than be stuck inside. But you can't do that all the time so why not have fun on those days you're stuck in the house?
